The Short Version

MinRight does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, financial records, or mineral rights information. The application runs entirely on your computer, and all data remains in a local database on your machine.

Data Storage

MinRight stores application data (property records, lease information, royalty payments, tax records, and ownership interests) in a local SQLite database file on your computer. Documents you attach (leases, deeds, division orders, and other files) are stored in a folder on your computer that you choose. None of this data is uploaded to MinRight servers or any third-party service.

What We Do Not Collect

License Activation

When you activate your MinRight license, the application communicates with our licensing service (provided by Lemon Squeezy) to validate your license key. This process transmits only your license key and a machine identifier. No application data is transmitted during this process.

Update Checks

MinRight periodically checks for software updates. This check transmits only your current application version number to determine if an update is available. No personal or application data is included.

Backup Files

MinRight includes an automatic backup feature that saves copies of your database to a folder you choose on your computer. If you configure a cloud-synced folder (such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud) as your backup location, those backup files will be uploaded to that cloud service according to that service's own terms and privacy policy. This is entirely optional and within your control. By default, backups are stored in a local folder.

Payment Processing

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider. When you purchase MinRight, Lemon Squeezy collects standard payment information (name, email, payment method) to process your transaction. MinRight LLC does not directly handle or store your payment card details. Please refer to Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment data.

Website

This website (minright.com) may use basic analytics to understand page traffic. No personal information is collected beyond standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

Third-Party Services

MinRight the application does not integrate with or transmit data to any third-party services during normal use. The only external communications are license activation and update checks as described above.

Children's Privacy

MinRight is professional software intended for use by adults managing mineral rights and royalty interests. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Significant changes will be noted in our blog or release notes.
